UAV Production & Repair Engineer (Robotics / Defense) (m/w/d)

Your mission
  • Build, assemble, and wire UAV power, signal, and control systems
  • Establish and improve small-batch production and lab workflows for electro-mechanical integration
  • Repair UAVs after test flights or missions; implement robust fixes and prevent recurrences
  • Design, build, and maintain wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and connector interfaces
  • Test and validate assembled systems under real-world operating conditions
  • Support field operations with hands-on diagnostics, quick repairs, and retrofit improvements
  • Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams during system integration
  • Train technicians and junior engineers on assembly methods and repair standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of production documentation, jigs, and QA processes
Your profile
  • Strong background in mechatronics, electro-mechanical systems, or related fields
  • Proven practical experience in UAV, drone, or robotic system assembly and repair
  • Hands-on experience with RC aircraft, FPV drones, or DIY robotics is highly valued
  • Skilled in soldering, crimping, harnessing, and basic electronic diagnostics
  • Familiar with low-voltage design, DC/DC converters, fuses, and EMI protection
  • Comfortable using CAD tools for reference and integration work
  • Experienced with mechanical assembly, adhesives, and precision fitting
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset; able to fix under pressure and with limited specs
  • Capable of producing clear, usable repair and production documentation
  • Hands-on, iterative builder who focuses on reliability, not perfection
  • Nationality of a NATO member nation or close ally is a must
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance
