Senior Reinforcement Learning Engineer – Application & Robotics Focus (m/w/d)

Your mission

Build, train and refine RL-based agents for real-world use (navigation, coordination, decision making)
Collaborate with embedded teams to deploy models onto drones and other platforms
Integrate perception, control and reward models into closed-loop systems
Contribute to fast iteration loops based on field tests and real sensor data
Work with simulation environments to validate strategies before deployment

Your profile

Strong background in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning or Control Theory
Hands-on experience with at least one RL framework (Ray RLlib, Stable Baselines, etc.)
Understanding of system dynamics, robotics basics, or embedded deployment
Python proficiency – C++ or ROS2 experience is a plus
Curiosity, pragmatism, and readiness to make things work in imperfect real-world settings

Nice to have:

Experience with SLAM, path planning, multi-agent coordination, or sensor fusion
