Space-Based Counter-UAV Engineer (m/w/d) – Orbital Defense Against High-Altitude Drones

Your mission

Develop space-based detection and interception systems for high-altitude and near-space UAV threats
Design and integrate orbital sensor arrays (EO/IR, radar, RF monitoring) to track UAVs in the upper atmosphere
Work on directed energy weapons (DEWs), kinetic interceptors, and electronic warfare (EW) solutions for neutralizing aerial threats
Optimize real-time tracking algorithms for satellite-based UAV identification and engagement
Collaborate with aerospace, defense, and AI teams to enhance autonomous threat response capabilities
Ensure compliance with space defense regulations (MIL-STD, ITAR, NATO STANAGs, FAA, ESA guidelines)

Your profile

Experience in space-based surveillance, high-altitude UAV interception, or orbital defense systems
Knowledge of radar, RF tracking, and EO/IR sensor fusion for aerospace security
Familiarity with directed energy weapons, electronic warfare, or AI-powered countermeasures
Understanding of orbital mechanics, satellite-based communication, and autonomous defense systems

Nice to have

Experience in military space operations, satellite-based threat tracking, and counter-UAV tactics
Background in AI-driven space defense and automated early warning systems
