Thermal Vision Expert (m/w/d) – Infrared Sensor Integration & UAV Detection

Your mission

Provide sensor selection support for thermal imaging and infrared (IR) vision systems in UAV detection and defense applications
Develop and optimize image processing algorithms for real-time thermal target recognition and tracking
Integrate EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) sensors with Radar, RF, Lidar, and acoustic systems for multi-sensor fusion
Enhance AI-driven thermal vision models for UAV classification, night vision, and extreme-weather operations
Optimize thermal sensor calibration, noise reduction, and sensitivity adjustments for enhanced detection accuracy
Conduct performance evaluations of IR sensors, ensuring compliance with defense and aerospace standards
Collaborate with hardware, AI, and embedded teams to ensure seamless sensor integration and real-time processing
Evaluate and recommend thermal camera technologies (LWIR, MWIR, SWIR, FLIR, uncooled vs. cooled IR sensors)

Your profile

3+ years experience in thermal imaging, infrared sensor technology, or EO/IR vision systems
Strong expertise in sensor selection, image processing, and thermal data analysis
Experience with Python, C++, OpenCV, TensorFlow/Keras for thermal vision AI applications
Knowledge of infrared optics, emissivity calibration, and temperature-based anomaly detection
Familiarity with FLIR, Seek Thermal, Leonardo DRS, or similar IR camera systems
Understanding of stealth technology, countermeasure tactics, and military-grade IR systems

Nice to have

Experience in defense, aerospace, or counter-UAV applications
Background in AI-enhanced thermal vision and sensor fusion
Knowledge of spectral imaging, hyperspectral sensors, and adaptive IR camouflage detection
