Digital Twin & Simulation Engineer – AI-Driven Defense & UAV Training Environments (m/w/d) all levels

Your mission

Develop and implement digital twin environments for UAV defense systems, enabling real-time simulation and AI training
Design high-fidelity physics-based simulations for UAV swarm behavior, sensor fusion, and threat response scenarios
Create virtual testbeds for AI model validation, adversarial training, and autonomous decision-making
Optimize HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) simulation frameworks for UAV and counter-drone testing
Integrate multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) environments to enhance AI-driven swarm defense strategies
Work with sensor fusion teams to simulate Radar, Lidar, EO/IR, RF, and Acoustic data for training AI models
Ensure real-time scalability and interoperability with defense systems and mission planning software

Your profile

5+ years experience in simulation, AI-driven modeling, or digital twin development
Strong expertise in real-time simulation frameworks (Gazebo, AirSim, Unreal Engine, PyBullet, CARLA)
Proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust for high-performance simulation development
Experience with ROS2, DDS, and real-time sensor communication protocols
Knowledge of probabilistic modeling, AI-powered simulation, and reinforcement learning environments
Familiarity with cloud-based distributed simulation architectures for large-scale training

Nice to have

Experience in military-grade simulation, UAV swarm training, and defense scenario modeling
Background in neural simulation and AI-driven adversarial training
Knowledge of federated learning for decentralized UAV simulation environments
