Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer – Virtual UAV Swarm Testing (m/w/d) all levels

Your mission

Develop high-fidelity simulation environments for UAV swarm behavior, mission planning, and testing
Implement digital twin models for real-time UAV performance evaluation and optimization
Create physics-based simulations for aerodynamics, sensor fusion, and environmental conditions
Integrate AI-driven predictive modeling for UAV decision-making and failure analysis
Work with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) simulations
Optimize scalability for multi-agent UAV swarm simulations in distributed environments
Collaborate with AI, robotics, and embedded teams to validate autonomous UAV systems

Your profile

3+ years experience in simulation, robotics, or digital twin development
Strong expertise in C++, Python, or Rust for real-time simulation engines
Experience with simulation frameworks (Gazebo, AirSim, PyBullet, CARLA, Unreal Engine, Unity)
Knowledge of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) and swarm intelligence
Familiarity with sensor modeling for Radar, Lidar, EO/IR, Acoustic, and RF systems
Understanding of cloud-based or edge computing solutions for large-scale simulations

Nice to have

Experience in defense, aerospace, or UAV flight dynamics modeling
Background in neural simulation and AI-based scenario generation
Knowledge of federated learning for decentralized UAV training environments
